LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362
$79.99
With the release of the Ahsoka series, the Lego Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 provides a way for fans to own a beloved part of the show, while also acquiring much of the show’s major characters and a unique villain minifigure. Unfortunately, the design is massively undercut by a glaringly bad lack of attention to underside details, particularly evident due to the swiveling design of the shuttle wings. While diehard fans may want to wait for an eventual design redux, those looking for a fun set with creative play features may still find it satisfies their wants and needs. -T42

Distinctions - By far, the rotating build on the Lego Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 is the standout element for play and display. Like the design for the show, a distinct vertical flight mode contrasted with the more horizontal landing configuration are both present, with a swivel piece attached to the cockpit allowing for an incredibly easy swap between. Stud shooters make an appearance in this set as well, with two small blasters found on the interior tips of the large shuttle wing. While somewhat expected for a set of this price, the minifigures are worth recognition as well, with the inclusion of two new minifigures in Professor Huyang and Marrok.
Criticisms - Swivel design makes the sheer willful neglect for the bottom side of the wing incredibly apparent. Notably, all promotional elements (including the retail box art) for the Lego Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 do not show the set from an angle that would allow the bottom of the wing to be seen.
-
Distinctions - Like most LEGO sets, the tolerances of the LEGO pieces involved in the Lego Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 are great, with fitment being strong and flush. Prints visible on the minifigures are vivid and detailed, and are more resilient than previous iterations of the ink. Bespoke moulding for new minifigures captures the designs while also allowing for clear and concise printing of characteristic features.
Criticisms - The wing is somewhat flexible and brittle despite some layering, which also interestingly adds to the confusion around the neglect of the bottom of the wing, where perhaps reinforcement elements could’ve doubled as aesthetic touches.
-
Distinctions - When viewed from an angle focused on the top-side of the wing, the LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 is a very aesthetically appealing set. In addition, inclusion of detailed minifigures, the standout of which is Ahsoka bearing, for the first time, clear lightsabers, is a very nice addition.
Criticisms - Abundantly apparent lack of attention to the design of the bottom of the wing limits display and play immersion to particular angles. While LEGO has, on average, increased the cost of sets when historically compared to size, we had not seen until now a compromise of design to hit a certain price point. Disappointingly, this seems to be the case for this particular set, making it a hard sell for those looking for a display model, or really even an accurate depiction of the screen presence of the actual ship.
-
Distinctions - Lego is, as ever, strong in reuse and recyclability. Fully plastic designs are easily recyclable if desired, though freedom of Lego assembly allows for continued use in as many contexts as can be conceptualized. In addition, the LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 also carries a small collection of optional character accessories that allow for a variety of play applications.
Criticisms - As always, the criticism to be had with LEGO products is their plastic base, as well as traditionally recyclable, but still disposable paper instructions and ink-heavy retail packaging. With this set bespoke moulds are also in heavy use for characters not previously seen produced. Reuse, quality and longevity of LEGO pieces offsets the plastic cost, but considering the over-sized nature of the box versus the contents, reductions are possible.
-
Distinctions - There are very few licensed models or depictions of the T-6 shuttle to be found available. As always, hard to find a larger catalogue of products that are still legacy compatible with new sets like this one. LEGO reigns supreme.
Criticisms - LEGO’s major complaint with aficionados is the gradual price inflation and decrease of set sizes. The Lego Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362 however, combines this gradual reduction in size with a tremendous sacrifice to design, resulting in a buy that is hard to quantify the value in. This particular set, with its size and piece count, had comparable peers at two-thirds to half of the price from LEGO within the last decade.
