Distinctions - The Chuckit! Ultra Ball is a combination of great engineering and great fun. The Ultra Ball bounces like no other floating ball, while floating like no other dense, chew proof ball. A combination of rubber densities allows for good bounce, but a resilience to chewing by concentrating pressure on the more rigid blue sections. The most thoughtful element of the Chuckit! design, however, is that if the Ultra Ball does eventually succumb to damage, the produced pieces and shards do not have sharp edges, so as to protect against injuries from ingestion.

Criticisms - The greatest criticism for the Chuckit! Ultra Ball across the board has to be its vulnerability to sun-fading as well as the lack of reflective material for evening use. The Chuckit! loses its characteristic saturated orange color with even a couple days of outdoor exposure, but play and material quality is unaffected.

Distinctions - The Chuckit! Ultra Ball is shockingly good quality for price. Where other supposedly resilient balls falter with stronger or more persistent chewers, the design of the Ultra Ball is designed to shirk direct pressure from teeth by redirecting straight on bites, but still remaining flexible enough to take direct hits. Bounce is also remarkable due to reliance on a mix of rigidity and flex, while not sacrificing the thickness of the ball.

Criticisms - Color saturation and resilience is very poor, perhaps UV protection would help with this in the future.

Distinctions - High contrast design is par for the course for outdoor visibility. Having a recessed logo instead of a printed iteration makes the design seem decidedly more intentional and unique to the Chuckit! brand.

Criticisms - Sun-fading primarily only damages the orange elements, though wear will be visible on blue as well, resulting in a very washed out, de-saturated look. The Chuckit! Ultra Ball is also vulnerable to visible wear with staining, as the ribbed texture of the ball’s surface captures dirt and grime that leads to staining.

Distinctions - The Chuckit! Ultra Ball is entirely plastic and rubber, so recycling is largely very easy. Longevity also is next level for the category, allowing for reduced impact for the individual consumer over an extended period of time. Boxboard shipping is also very easily disposable sustainably.

Criticisms - Usage of rubber is a detraction, as there is an associated environmental cost.

Distinctions - Ultra Ball distinguishes Chuckit! as a decidedly strong producer of quality products, especially when compared in the oversaturated world of dog fetch toys. Where others of comparable or higher prices dissolve under pressure or use, the Chuckit! Ultra Ball reigns supreme with leagues better longevity.

Criticisms - Most peers hold their color significantly better.
